Your Home Fall Prevention Headquarters

We understand the challenges that come with aging. Staying at home provides memories, comfort, and quality of life. But, the home can also become risky as we grow older if we don't take the proper steps to make it safer for the aging body. Falls are a leading cause of injury and death among those aged 65 and over. With simple and easy actions, we can eliminate many common high-risk fall situations where they happen the most — in the home.

NFPC is dedicated to being the one-stop resource for the latest insights, research, tips, and solutions in home fall prevention. We support individuals, families, caregivers, insurance companies, and community organizations in their efforts to protect and care for our older population. We are committed to providing in-depth analysis and understanding of these risks, translating statistics into actionable knowledge. We do this in three ways: Prevention, Education, and Empowerment!

Home Fall Prevention Assessment

Our free Home Fall Prevention Assessment will help analyze and suggest recommendations you can use as a guide to reduce falls, along with helpful tools to discuss with your healthcare professional. Take the assessment for yourself, a family member, friend, or professional caregiver.

Home Modification and Fall Prevention Kit - By GStride

Staying on Your Feet at Home

As we age, what was once easy to navigate and move around becomes more and more difficult. Typically, this occurs over time, until an actual or near fall occurs and we feel this new reality… I've aged. Falls in the home are the #1 cause of injury, going to the hospital, and even death for those aged 65 and over. Yet, there's room for optimism as most falls can be prevented.

We provide families with a Kit of solutions that are quick and easy to place throughout the home to address the most high risk and most common falls occur. THe kit requires no tools no skill and can be complete in about two hours.

Our aging parents deserve a safe home to live their golden years to the fullest.  We can help you make that a reality.

Why is it so challenging to get parents to listen, agree, and comply with your ideas and requests for changes and adjustments that promote their safety? Perhaps it is due to their decades of being in control, having more wisdom, and holding authority in the relationship. The process of role reversal comes with its own set of hurdles. In this webinar we will reveal effective ways to overcome these obstacles, build trust in the transitioning of authority, and address concerns about loss of independence.
