Fall Prevention Playbook

The Fall Prevention Playbook covers understanding and mitigating fall risks through home modifications, exercise, and proper nutrition. It emphasizes the use of appropriate footwear, assistive devices, and safe outdoor practices, along with having an emergency response plan. Community resources and support systems are also highlighted.

A loved one falling can radically change the course of everyone’s life….the individual, spouse, children, friends, etc. So, PREVENTING a serious fall is crucial to everyone’s quality of life. From there, come the questions:
– Where do I start?
– What will help the most?
– How do I build a game plan for success?
– How do I convince my dad that changes need to be made?
– Who can help us find specific fall prevention resources?
– What do I say when mom doesn’t want to do her leg strengthening routine?

This book was written as a playbook to guide you each step of the way. It will help in prioritizing, communicating and implementing a plan that can reduce the threat of falls occurring at home.
